SILASIL ENERGY.BG 2.0 – The innovative solution for demanding energy crops

With SILASIL ENERGY.BG 2.0, we are expanding our line of silage additives with a solution that has been specifically developed for biogas production from moist, low‑sugar energy crops. Designed specifically for challenging silage conditions, the product ensures fast, reliable fermentation with minimal losses.
The foundation is a combination of four newly selected homofermentative lactic acid bacteria strains, which are characterized by high competitive strength and excellent temperature tolerance. This results in a rapid drop in pH within the first few days of ensiling, which is a crucial factor in reliably preventing spoilage.
A key benefit of SILASIL ENERGY.BG 2.0 is its direct inhibition of Clostridia. This is particularly important in moist, protein-rich substrates, where it plays a key role in stabilizing fermentation and reducing nutrient losses.

Developed for moist, low-sugar substrates

SILASIL ENERGY.BG 2.0 is particularly suitable for moist energy crops with a dry matter content of 20% or higher and low to moderate sugar levels, such as:
  • Grass
  • Clover-grass
  • Alfalfa
  • Green rye
  • Cover crops
The recommended minimum ensiling duration is 21 days.

Greater reliability and efficiency in biogas production

By precisely controlling fermentation processes, SILASIL ENERGY.BG 2.0 supports a low-loss ensiling process and contributes to a stable biogas yield. This makes the product a high-performance solution for farms that prioritize process reliability and efficiency, even under challenging conditions.
