Cheaper substrate production with the SILASIL ENERGY product series

During the silaging process, the easily available carbohydrates are converted by lactic acid bacteria under anaerobic conditions to various short-chain fatty acids.
This is inevitably connected with unavoidable but also avoidable energy losses. A rapid reduction in the pH-value is a priority for keeping losses low. Doing this prevents degradation processes and further energy losses caused by fermentation pests as far as possible.

Energy and nutrients protect against storage losses

Energy, which is produced and lost in the form of heat during storage or cutting due to pest organisms, predominantly yeasts and moulds, is not available in the fermenter for biogas production. The energy of the created biomass is successfully preserved during a good ensilaging process.

Possible saving on cultivation area

Ensiling agents improve the economic viability of the substrate production

The use of products from the SILASIL ENERGY range demonstrably lowers the energy losses during storage and leads to better processing of the substrate in the fermenter.* This means, with SILASIL ENERGY products you receive a higher biogas yield from the same initial amount of input substrate – or in other words: In order to produce the same amount of biogas, you require 9.8 % less cultivation area! Therefore, the natural resources for plant cultivation are conserved. *Source: ATB Potsdam Bornim, 2007
