BC.ACID - Preservation for fresh and moist substrates
Use

BC.ACID 1
For moist, pumpable substrates

Acid mixture for the preservation of moist and pumpable biogas substrates during the storage as pulp for liquid silaging.
BC.ACID 1 is used for liquid storage of ground cereals, CCM and other substrates. It ensures stable and low-loss storage of the substrates in the storage container, even with fluctuating water content.

BC.ACID 2
For moist, free-flowing substrates

Acid mixture for the preservation of free-flowing biogas substrates during the storage.
BC.ACID 2 is adjusted for use with whole, freshly harvested cereal grain and other free-flowing secondary raw materials. It is particularly user-friendly thanks to its low evaporation rate. The process is characterised by its high impact during storage.

How BC.ACID works

The influence of BC.ACID 1 on the yeast content in liquid substrates - influence of BC.ACID 2on the total aerobic count (TAC) in wheat (14 % moisture)
BC.ACID 1 and BC.ACID 2 have a distinct antimicrobial effect. The acid mixtures actively attack the microbial carbohydrate metabolism and inhibit the reproductive ability of the micro-organisms during storage.
Through the reduction of the pH-value of the substrate, BC.ACID creates unfavourable living conditions for the present pests.

The result
BC.ACID reduces the growth of undesirable microbes and the associated nutrient breakdown. There are two clear effects for biogas formation:
1st Protection of the energy content during storage
More nutrients remain in the substrate than are required for methane production in the fermenter.
2nd Lower strain on the fermentation biology
Fewer foreign micro-organisms enter the fermenter and pollute the biological processes.
Your advantage
Moist biogas substrates are exposed to a high risk of spoilage during storage.
BC.ACID 1 and 2 have been specifically developed to meet the requirements of biogas production and ensure optimal substrate hygiene. Using them preserves the energy potential of the substrate and increases the biogas yield.
