The BC. concept – Fermenter-specific micronutrient mixtures for process optimisation in biogas plants
Schaumann BioEnergy has devised the special BC. concept to harness the full biogas potential of the fermentation substrate in the fermenter. The product lines BC.PRO and BC.COMPACT supply the specific micronutrients needed by the methane bacteria in the fermenter and maximise the efficiency of the process of methane production.
The concept is based on comprehensive fermenter analysis and in-house nutrient requirement data for methane bacteria and complements trace elements and other vital substances to provide tailor-made mixtures for your biogas facility. The requirement data have been determined by differential experiments in continuous flow fermenters. Our product-specific, competent advice service is another critical success factor.
The use of iCAP spectrometry analyses of the trace elements in the fermenter contents enables the formulation of tailor-made micronutrient mixtures for each biogas plant. These differ widely depending on the substrates used, operational management and a multitude of other factors. Fermenter-specific dosing supports a circular economy, which benefits the environment.
The BC. concept synchronises the different stages of biogas production and stabilises the process as a whole. The product lines BC.PRO und BC.COMPACT activate the methanogenic flora in the fermenter, stabilise FOS/TAC values and improve the nutrient balance.
